Minifigure Madness! Even More Multicoloured Masters of the Universe M.U.S.C.L.E Minifigures!

That title sounds like it deserves to be said by an excitable man doing a voice-over on a commercial break during Saturday morning cartoons. Anyway, last year I was overjoyed to open a tub of MOTU M.U.S.C.L.E figures, so I decided to buy the second wave of them.

I should mention that I bought these from the Super7 online store, and I don’t think I have ever experienced such shitty customer service as I did when purchasing this little tub of figures. I was waiting over a month for Super7 to find the time to dispatch the figures and my online order just said processing.  It was only after I had emailed them asking if they were going to eventually dispatch them did they bother to do it. There was no email apology for the delay, nothin’. I messaged and asked them if it was policy to ignore emails from customers, and they ignored that as well. Bastards! I’d like to say that will be the end of my purchasing stuff from Super7, but like a battered woman returning to an abusive husband, I know I will probably buy from them again because they make some damn cool stuff. Damn cool, shitty customer service bastards.

Like before, I opted for multicoloured versions of the figures because small multicoloured figures make me feel like I am 8 again. Only I get kicked by other kids less, and I have cooler hair than back then.

Like before, this little tub comes packed to the brim with twelve little figures, all nicely detailed considering their tiny size!

This awesome little selection of heroes and villains consists of Castle Grayskull (neither a hero or a villain!) Sorceress, Battle Cat, Spikor, He-man, Stinkor, Kobra Kahn, Evil-Lyn, Skeletor, Orko, Fisto, and Stratos!

As I am trying to keep this a brief post, I won’t take in-depth looks at all of them, but these are a couple of my favourites-

Castle Grayskull! Why would someone make a M.U.S.C.L.E figure based on Castle Grayskull? Is it so that you can pose your figures next to it, and it will like it’s the same bizarre lack of scale as in medieval artwork? Regardless, I love it. I would love a small playset/carry case shaped like Castle Grayskull even more though.

Glow-in-the-dark Stratos! Anything glow-in-the-dark is automatically a little bit awesome, and Stratos is already a cool character as it is, if only for the lack of fucks that he gives towards any possibility of him being judged on his extremely hairy back, something that I mentioned here. Anyway, onto the last pair of figures!

My camera just doesn’t seem to handle the neon-ness of these figures very well. Anyway, behold! It’s He-man and the mighty Battle Cat!

I love this pair because it kinda makes sense that if they made a Battle Cat figure, they really ought to make a He-man who can ride on him. And they did! My only qualm is that Battle Cat looks a little bit too small for He-man to be sitting on, like a child trying to sit on a house cat. As it is, in the stylized M.U.S.C.L.E form, they both look awesome.

Anyway, I think that should wrap up  this post now, as it’s 1AM which is probably far too late to be talking passionately about little multicoloured Masters of the Universe figures.
